Return to Middle Kingdom

Last May, the Dragon made his second trip to China, after a lapse of 15 years since his first trip. This time, the main intention is to see the Great Wall of China, which is his dream of this lifetime.

This won't be his last trip. The Dragon is scheduled to visit the Middle Kingdom in mid Sept and end of Oct before the year is out. This time, it is for business and some fashion and flair......

Cruising around Indochina and I spy.........

.......Angkor Wat. wow, what a sight. One of my dream is to visit this historical ruins and finally the opportunity came in Y2004. As history goes, the stones were actually from Nepal. Cut and drifted down the Mekong River. Every single piece. I think the story is as fascinating as the Great Wall of China(stay tune on this piece)

Have you ever wondered......??

How does a garment and apparel factory looks like?? The ones that manufacture the clothings that cover you up. The Nikes, Addidas, GAPs, MNGs, PUMAs, etc, etc.......As the fashion world rotates, the manufacturing of apparel and garments are still very labor intensive. Some factories have as many as 5000 workers.

One thing for sure.....the sounds of the sewing machine is deafening. Oh no, wait......you should go into the ironing room. Better take off your clothes. Its like a sauna in there. Even the aircond doesn't really help. 2000 industrial steam irons hissssssing at the same time......its one place not for me.

Visit to Uncle Sam's land

When the Sleeping Dragon left US and Canada in 1987, there was no indication whatsoever that Sleeping Dragon will ever return to visit Uncle Sam again. Then the opportunity came in January 2007, when Sleeping Dragon was called for a Tour of Duty to fly to the Land of 51 States and the Rocky.

Wow, after 20 years, it was like a homecoming. ....all my bags are packed, I am ready to go, the journey was too far for the Dragon to fly on its own, so he boarded Eva Air for his first stop in San Francisco.

SF has changed so much but some things never change. A trip to SF is not complete without going for a ride on the world famous tramcar.

and also a visit to Pier 39.

and paying a visit to the residents of Pier 39.

As the journey continues......to Vietnam

As the journey continues......this time to Vietnam. The food, people, building, everything is similar to the land of the forefathers.

First, the cultural show.......

the music was soothing and nice. Oh, btw, the show took place by the poolside.......which you will be able to see in the ensuing photos.

Now for the beauties.....

Sailing back to the origin

As the Dragon flies back to the land of its forefathers, China, he began to discover many things; some are interesting sights to behold, others are a beauty to its eyes. Sleeping Dragon began to discover that there are many tiring feet in this vast land and anywhere to shut eyes is welcome.

Not only tiring feet but hungry stomach. Anywhere and anything to cook a meal is welcome as the people needs to draw strength to find a living.















As he continue to sail thru this land, he also discover other interesting objects.



The Dragon couldn't believe his eyes and started to wonder what has this land of his forefathers has become. Dtermined, he continue his journey to find what he believes in, that people of the unique sex have unique outfit that pleases the eyes.

And lo and behold , he sailed into a fashion gala and saw things that pleases the eyes.




















My, my...now this is what I know of this land.

As nite falls, Sleeping Dragon will now have to find a place to shut eyes and go to zzzzzzzz............
